About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and well-organized sales professional to join the Plumbing team as our Sales Manager- Merchant, reporting into Sales Manager - Plumbing.
In this role, the main objectives are to promote and enhance key customer relationships within the Plumbing Branch Network, increase revenues in the Aliaxis and Plumbing merchant channel, and boost brand visibility. Responsibilities include managing, coaching and mentoring the Merchant sales team of 7 Territory Managers, focusing on the Plumbing products segment, and fostering relationships with industry stakeholders.
What will you do?
  • Grow revenues and profits in Aliaxis and Plumbing merchant channel
  • Promote the Aliaxis and Marley brands to Market
  • Lead and coach a high performing Sales team, provide focus in the Plumbing products segment, maintain, and develop relationships with relevant industry influencers, associations, key merchant partners, end users and installers
  • Foster a culture within the sales team that prioritizes customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Address customer issues promptly and effectively to maintain trust and loyalty.
  • Work With the Sales Manager – Plumbing, to promote and grow customer key head office, regional relationships and key Plumbing Branch Contacts
  • Contribute to annual strategies and budgets.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments.
About you
  • Previous senior management experience with a manufacturing or wholesale background
  • Proven negotiation and influencing ability within a sales role
  • Technical knowledge of Plumbing products, merchant knowledge
  • A proven ability to secure new business by further developing existing relationships and seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and Power Point
  • Ability to support, manage and motivate a team
  • Ability to contribute and develop sound sales strategies
