Te Ao Mārama Programme – Enhancing Justice for All

We are looking for a Senior Advisor Design to support the Te Ao Mārama programme. This is a fixed-term role until July 2025, based in Wellington.

Te Haeata/The Opportunity
The Senior Advisor will support the implementation of the Te Ao Mārama Programme's Engagement Strategy, and will contribute to the design and development of the Te Ao Mārama programme with iwi, communities, judiciary, the Ministry of Justice and the wider justice sector.

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following:

• A tertiary degree in a relevant field is preferable
• Working knowledge of Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori
• Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Experience engaging with iwi and Māori organisations, whānau, hapū and iwi
• Experience providing written reports and presentations to a high standard, including high levels of accuracy
• Strong relationship management, community engagement, and collaboration

The Te Ao Mārama Programme team is a multi-disciplinary rōpu established to enable the design, development, and delivery of the programme. You will be working closely with iwi and communities, and supporting teams across the Ministry of Justice and the wider justice sector.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
