Senior Compliance Risk Officer - IT

Delivering Auckland's transport solution on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task.
Risk & Assurance provide support and oversight to ensure good governance across all Auckland Transport activities - including internal systems, appropriate project management and accounting processes, as well as the identification and management of operational risk.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
This role will support the IT business to manage its compliance requirements across a range of regulatory, contract and business processes through compliance audits and associated engagement with the business. It will also help to manage risk exposure of Auckland Transport (AT) by ensuring risk identification, mitigation, reporting and related business policies are aligned to good practice. It will provide coaching and support to business unit staff to help them understand their risk and compliance needs, and ensure they are appropriately captured and documented. Some examples of the role's responsibilities include:

Working with the Compliance Manager to develop an annual compliance audit programme for AT, focussing on the Business Technology division.
Completing compliance audits in accordance with the annual compliance plan - from scoping through to
Maintaining a register of findings and work with the business to track resolution of process improvement recommendations.
Proactively contributing to business process redesign across AT's business units

Our ideal candidate will have:

Extensive audit, compliance or risk management experience in public or private sector.
Risk management application in a complex environment
Some exposure to policy development or policy review
Experience in building relationships
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
