Senior Manager Frontline Communications

Te tūranga | The role:
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Planning & Engagement Lead to elevate communication strategies and enhance delivery effectiveness specifically for our frontline teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications programme that aligns with our strategic goals and business objectives, ensuring engagement outcomes are met. Your leadership will guide the creation and execution of a robust divisional communications strategy that supports the planning and sequencing of frontline initiatives. You will optimise communication channels to engage our audiences, inspiring them to take meaningful action while monitoring channel effectiveness through data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback.
As a key player in our organisation, you will proactively manage relationships with Distribution stakeholders to understand their business needs and challenges, facilitating successful communication delivery that drives business benefits. Your expertise will help uplift communications to deliver high-impact messages that resonate with our audiences. You will uncover best practices, leverage compelling customer stories, and transform complex initiative narratives into actionable insights. By fostering strong stakeholder engagement and collaborating effectively with the Senior Manager Delivery Effectiveness and Planning Manager, you will ensure initiatives impacting our frontline teams are well sequenced, communicated, and monitored for success. Your ability to manage risks within appetite will be crucial as you champion ASB's organisational change management approach across large-scale programmes and initiatives.
In this role, you will be accountable for continuous improvement in communication effectiveness, driving high-impact initiatives that enhance e NPS and NPS scores. You will cultivate effective relationships with Distribution leaders, Tribe and Practice colleagues, and contribute to a cohesive approach to delivery effectiveness across planning, communications, and monitoring activities. Your influence will promote a positive, collaborative culture within the delivery community, while you contribute to a highly engaged team environment in Business Transformation & Customer Engagement.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have over 7 years of experience in developing and delivering communications programmes that effectively drive change. You will bring extensive skills in communications planning, management, and execution across multiple channels, ensuring that your messaging is impactful. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are a must, allowing you to craft clear, compelling, and concise content. You will also possess outstanding presentation development and facilitation skills, combined with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Your strong stakeholder management capabilities will enable you to build effective relationships and proactively address the needs of key stakeholders at all levels. You will excel in influencing, negotiation, and consensus-building, adeptly navigating difficult conversations while preserving relationships and aligning with both customer and organisational interests. You will work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of change management principles. Your exposure to strategic implementation and delivering change will further enhance your qualifications.
You will exhibit exceptional judgment, managing complex customer matters and proactively driving solutions. Your ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will be key, as will your capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure. With a collaborative style, you will thrive as part of a team, and a relevant communications qualification will round out your profile as our next Senior Manager Frontline Communications.
