We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our high performing team in Tauranga. We are looking for a talented chartered Engineer who enjoys managing and delivering on diverse and challenging projects, leading and mentoring, and contributing to the financial success of a business, if this sounds like you then we want to hear from you.

About the role
As our Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide specialised technical expertise on complex residential and commercial projects.
Collaborate with the team in preparing preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, managing on-site investigations, and monitoring and reporting on the progress of project delivery.

Maintain strong working relationships with all clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors
Produce proposals and further develop our business achieving sustainable growth
Manage all size projects, technical documentation, project scheduling, and meeting deadlines and budgets
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of overall company strategies

About you

Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent; and Chartership CPEng
A strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects, with proven experience in structural engineering with seismic experience to NZ Codes.
Understand risk, be commercially astute and place a high regard on client satisfaction
Great at planning and organising multiple teams that collaborate effectively with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects
A role model for promoting high work standards to deliver client projects on time and within budget
Exceptional communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders. Empathy for others, sociable and friendly, with a positive drive and resilience
