The Department of Rheumatology seeks a Senior Medical Officer (Consultant Rheumatologist) for a fixed-term appointment to cover parental leave. This position is set to commence on 25 November 2024 and will conclude on 7 March 2025.
The position is for 0.4 FTE and includes a combination of inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics. The Rheumatology Service at CM Health serves a dynamic and diverse population of 600,000 residents in South Auckland, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care.
Our Rheumatology Service operates across multiple sites, including Middlemore Hospital, Manukau Super Clinic, and regional locality clinics. Middlemore Hospital is an acute, accredited, 1,000-bed tertiary teaching hospital offering a wide range of acute inpatient medical and surgical services.
You would be joining a supportive and friendly team comprising of nine SMOs, registrars and four senior nurses.
The suitable candidate will have FRACP or equivalent and be a vocationally registered Rheumatologist with the New Zealand Medical Council at the time of commencing the position.
