Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this role you will use your extensive knowledge of University regulations, interpretation and application of policies and procedures to provide degree-planning advice to tertiary students enrolled/enrolling in the Faculty qualifications. You will also act as contact person for students with disabilities, Māori, Pasifika and international students, provide support to the Academic Services Manager and Faculty of Engineering Deans and contribute to the Engineering outreach and strategic initiatives involving students (akonga).
Mōu | Who You Are
Through holding a bachelor's degree (or equivalent level 7 qualification) and your experience in a similar role in tertiary education, you will be able to demonstrate your real, ground level appreciation of what it is like to be a student (akonga). You will have knowledge of University regulations, interpretation and application of policies and procedures, as well as knowledge and experience in the use of a Student Management database.
Current and prospective Students (akonga) are our focus so excellent communication skills are imperative, as you will be able to express complex information to a variety of audiences, in an accurate and concise manner.
You are a positive, outgoing and dynamic team player who keen to build and nurture relationships, people focused and enjoy process improvement. Lastly, you will have active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori.
