As a wheelchair user and ventilator dependant, she needs an energetic, competent and organised person with attention to detail to help her achieve her goals; keeping her healthy, learning, communicating with others, therapy-based activities, school and social events. With an opportunity to pick up more hours for sleepovers.What does a Support Worker do?Due to the intimate nature of the cares, a female candidate is preferred. We are looking for someone who has worked in a hospital environment and with children in the past. Due to the complexity of the cares, commitment to the shifts is vital. Responsibilities can be varied, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:Suctioning & tracheostomy tube change Moving and Handling (Hoist) Personal care Ventilator (Astral Ventilator) The role goes where the client goes - to school, home, and out and about in the community.
