Silver Fern Farms Hawera employ 650 staff at the height of the season. If you are physically fit and love to experience new things, apply now to join our team for a start in late October for our new season!
From entry level to experienced, we have a range of roles in our Primary and Secondary Butchery on our day and night shifts, for the right people. If you have worked in manufacturing or agriculture, we would love to hear from you, but whatever your abilities we provide ongoing training to support our staff to achieve their goals.

Working arrangements:

Complete your on-job training and earn a minimum $28.12 p/h plus extras
Minimum 30 hours per week
40 hours per week is the usual plus overtime opportunities in peak of season
Day shift hours vary between 5.30am – 4pm and Evening shift between 2.30pm – 1.30am
Monday – Friday with Saturdays as required

Job requirements:

Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment within a diverse team
Can follow health and safety and quality requirements in the workplace
Physically fit
Have a positive and hardworking attitude
Be eligible to work in New Zealand
18 years old or over for night shift
Reliable transport
