We are looking for motivated and skilled Boiler Operator/Fitter to join our engineering team who are crucial to keep our production running in a challenging, dynamic food production environment. In return, we offer competitive pay rates, OT allowances and great training/development opportunities.
Our site operates both day and evening shifts Monday to Friday as well as occasional overtime on weekends.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Enchem L4 or Enchem 3 with progress in obtaining L4 certification, 3rd class Marine or First Class Steam.
- Relevant Trades Qualification (Level 4 Mechanical Diagnostics Engineer or Trade Qualified Fitter/ Turner)
- Previous experience as boiler operator in a similar environment
- Good knowledge of sound engineering principals and repairs and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site - or a passion to learn in this environment.
- Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner and communicate this with those around you.
- Be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a tight knit team of engineering specialists.
- Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging engineering environment.
- Desire to keep learning and upskill - be this in a leadership scope or dual trading into other facets of the production engineering environment.
- Comfortable being on a roster-based shift pattern in a red meat processing environment out of our largest site in NZ in the beautiful central Hawkes Bay.
