Visa Support Officer

Visa Support Officer
Immigration and Education agency based in Auckland with 15 years in the market is looking for a dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic visas support officer to join our Visas Team.
This role is crucial to the business unit as our clients have unique circumstances and every client needs to be treated as a case-by-case project.
You will be responsible for:
· Planning and undertaking the administration of different projects
· Reviewing variations to projects and visa application services
· Liaising with clients to receive and organise documentation and paperwork for visa applications
· Coordinate and follow up as necessary with clients to ensure the paperwork is complete meeting the deadlines
· Providing fast and accurate feedback to clients by responding to inquiries regarding applications
· Maintaining client records in our databases and spreadsheets accurate and up to date
· Technical immigration analysis of applications
· Advising senior management on matters requiring attention or immediate action
· Managing INZ online services
· Using and managing reports and doing some document and data analysis
· Working and providing support on special projects
To be successful in this role you require:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and SPANISH is a must due to the nature of our clientele.
Minimum 6 months to 1 year relevant experience in a relevant/similar role. Experience in the educational sector and in New Zealand immigration law and visa system.
Understanding of the New Zealand educational sector framework.
Understanding of the New Zealand immigration instructions and current legislation.
A good level of computer literacy including navigating a computer database and programs
To demonstrate high attention to detail.
Be organised and responsible with clients’ documents and feel comfortable working with spreadsheets and big amounts of data.
Experience working in fast-paced work environments.
Some of your core day to day duties will involve the following:
Data entry and data analysis
Maintaining client records accurate and up to date
Coordinate and follow up as necessary with clients to ensure the paperwork is complete
Creation and proofreading of official documents in English and Spanish as well as cross-checking references
Other Requirements:
Bachelor degree would be an advantage.
Have excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise in a busy operational environment to assist clients with their requirements.
Adapt to multiple cultures to inspire confidence effectively.
Be able to work independently as well as within a team.
You must be a fast learner.
Some of the tasks will include using the following software on a daily basis:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook)
Adobe Acrobat
Google Sheets (spreadsheets) and Google Drive
Mail Styler
CRMs
Your good work ethic is crucial for this position and you must be committed to meeting deadlines.
