The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/2IC Store Person to join our team at our Quality Bakers site in Christchurch.
You should have a strong willingness to learn and ideally have some leadership/supervisory experience. To excel in this role, you'll need physical strength, a keen eye for detail, particularly in safety, and a readiness to adapt and grow.
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 4pm to 12.30am
Hours of work: 40 p/w
Pay rate: $28.50 to $30.50 depending on experience
Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and adhere to company policies.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee regular cycle counting to prevent discrepancies.
• Manage stock levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing overstock and obsolete inventory.

The successful applicant will have:

• Previous warehouse experience with a high element of forklift operation desirable but not essential
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising, training, and motivating warehouse staff.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated storage systems.
• Computer literate
• Team Player
