Job Title: Banking and Payment Support Assistant
Job Summary:
The Banking and Payment Support Assistant will work closely with the Head of the Accounting Department, handling essential banking errands and assisting in payment-related tasks. This role is designed to ensure the smooth resolution of bank-related issues, timely processing of payments, and efficient management of all financial errands. This is not an accounting role but one that requires a proactive, reliable individual with an eye for detail and a focus on ensuring swift resolutions at the bank.
Responsibilities:
Cheque Clearing and Deposits

• Collect, prepare, and deposit cheques at the bank on behalf of the company.
• Ensure timely processing of cheques and monitor the clearing process.

Bank Payment Resolutions

• Regularly visit the bank to resolve payment issues and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
• Follow up with bank representatives to expedite pending transactions and ensure accuracy.

Daily Bank Errands

• Conduct routine banking errands, and handling other transactional needs as directed by the accounting team.

Transaction Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of all bank transactions, including stamped receipts, acknowledgments, and resolved payment issues.
• Report all banking activities and issues back to the Head of Accounting on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably with banking or financial errands.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with bank representatives.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to visit the bank frequently for various transactions.
