CHEF
JOB PURPOSE: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at an international school. As the Chef, you will be responsible for providing delicious and nutritious meals to students and staff in a safe and sanitary manner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about cooking and has a strong knowledge of international cuisine.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: Their main responsibilities include Plan menus and ensure the high-quality standard of meals, Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality following health and Safety guidelines. Train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
1. Plan, prepare, and cook meals for students and staff following provided menus and recipes.
2. Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all meals meet the school's high standards.
3. Manage inventory and order necessary ingredients and supplies to maintain stock levels.
4. Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
5. Collaborate with school administration and nutritionists to create menu plans that cater to a diverse range of dietary needs and preferences.
6. Monitor food production costs and find ways to optimize resources without compromising quality.
7. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including food storage areas and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations and procedures.
2. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
3. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Effective communication and leadership skills.
5. Flexible schedule, willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
6. Excellent knowledge of international cuisine, including cultural and regional specialties.
7. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
9. Ability to meet deadlines, assign tasks, and meet established goals and objectives.
10. Customer service oriented
11. Good general health, clean in attire and professional in appearance.
12. Ability to be punctual and maintain regular attendance.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess a valid food handler's certificate or similar certification.
Proven 5-10years experience working as a Chef, preferably in a similar setting.
WORKING LANGUAGE: English
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7:20 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday work as required
LOCATION: Abuja, Nigeria
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
Experience:

• Preparation of International Cuisine: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Food Handlers Certificate (Preferred)
