Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our client's esteemed Senior Secondary School at Bodija, Ibadan, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective chemistry lessons to students in the senior secondary level, fostering a love for the subject, and preparing them for success in national examinations. The Chemistry Teacher will play a pivotal role in nurturing our students' academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive chemistry curriculum in accordance with the Nigerian senior secondary school system, incorporating both theoretical and practical components.
Classroom Instruction: Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons, catering to diverse learning styles, and utilizing modern teaching techniques to ensure student understanding and retention.
Laboratory Activities: Conduct practical experiments to reinforce theoretical knowledge, emphasizing safety procedures and laboratory etiquette.
Assessment and Evaluation: Develop, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and examinations to gauge student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
Individualized Support: Provide extra help and guidance to students who are struggling with chemistry concepts, and foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Educational Resources: Select and recommend textbooks, online resources, and other teaching materials to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Professional teaching certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the senior secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian senior secondary school curriculum and relevant examination bodies (e.g., WAEC, NECO).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
