The Lady Mechanic Initiative is seeking a passionate and dedicated Coding Teacher to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in equipping young students with essential coding skills and inspiring them to pursue careers in technology.
Position Summary:
As a Coding Teacher, you will guide students in learning the fundamentals of coding, with particular emphasis on HTML, CSS, and Java Script. Additionally, you’ll incorporate basic electrical concepts to enhance the understanding of STEM projects, fostering a well-rounded skill set in students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that teach students foundational skills in HTML, CSS, and Java Script.
- Provide practical demonstrations and real-world applications to strengthen students’ coding abilities.
- Incorporate basic electrical knowledge into lessons to support STEM-based projects, helping students connect coding skills with broader STEM applications.
- Assess students’ progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in coding and STEM education.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HTML, CSS, and Java Script.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, particularly as they relate to STEM projects.
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with young learners.
- Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to cater to various learning styles.
