Lagos

ABOUT US
Impact Water is a global non-profit dedicated to ensuring the human right to safe drinking water. The company delivers reliable, low-cost water treatment technologies to public and private schools in Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda and finances its operation through carbon emission reductions resulting from the displacement of boiling water as well as private donations.
To date, we are serving over 60,000 schools and over 32 million students. Over the next several years, we aim to expand our model to reach more than 100,000 schools and 40 million students.
In Nigeria, we help schools treat their water by providing high-quality 100L water tanks and enough tablets or continuous flow treatment systems to provide 3 litres of safe drinking water per day per student for the entire school year. We provide these systems free of cost. We deliver these tanks, tablets, and systems to schools and our Field Agents visit them once or twice a
year to conduct behavior change communication, teaching the importance of safe drinking water and encouraging the continued use of the system.
Since our inception, we have expanded our operations to 20 states and the FCT in Nigeria, proudly serving almost 40,000 schools and positively impacting the lives of 18 million students. In the coming years, we have set an ambitious goal to extend our reach and support to public schools throughout the entire nation. To achieve this vision, we require strong leadership from Field Coordinators to effectively guide and manage our growing network of hundreds of Field Agents. The right leadership will be instrumental in scaling our operations, refining our processes, and ensuring that we successfully navigate the challenges that come with rapid growth. By working together, we can turn our aspirations into reality and make a meaningful difference in the education sector across Nigeria.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking exceptional Field Coordinators to play a key role in advancing our program's impact. This position combines hands-on fieldwork with operational oversight, offering a long-term opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You will take ownership of field activities, ensuring that schools across the region are empowered with the tools and knowledge to treat their drinking water. Your role will be mission-driven, with the opportunity to shape and improve our operations on the ground, contributing to the success of Impact Water's vision of ensuring the human right to safe drinking water.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead People
● Field Agent Supervision: Supervise the daily activities of Field Agents (FAs), ensuring that they complete school visits, product distribution, and data collection according to established timelines and standards. Conduct regular field visits to observe, assess, and support FAs in their roles, addressing any operational challenges they encounter.
● Performance Management: Regularly evaluate FA performance, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Lead training sessions on key topics such as school engagement, product usage, and data collection to ensure FAs have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively. Encourage continuous development and performance improvement across the team.
● Recruitment and Onboarding: Source great candidates, conduct interviews of FA candidates, and assess candidates' suitability for vacant positions. Play a key role in onboarding and training new FAs, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and are well-prepared for their work.
Lead Impact
● Agents of Change: Drive continuous improvement in field operations by identifying opportunities for innovation, particularly in school engagement techniques and product usage. Encourage FAs to adopt new methods that promote long-term behavioral changes in schools, ensuring students and staff understand the importance of water safety and proper product use.
● Collaboration with Stakeholders and Government Relations (GR): Build and maintain strong relationships with education secretaries (ESs) and local government officials. Coordinate with ESs to align on distribution schedules, troubleshoot issues, and enhance Impact Water’s presence.
● Field Monitoring and Spot Checks: Conduct regular field monitoring through spot checks and surprise visits to schools, ensuring the quality of FA work and verifying product installations. Contribute to the effectiveness of GR and Social Behavior Change (SBCC) interventions.
● Product Coordination and Innovation: Manage the preparation, dispatch, and tracking of Impact Water materials (e.g., tanks and tabs), ensuring timely and accurate delivery to FAs. Oversee the product replacement process, including the installation and monitoring of tanks and taps, and ensure quality control.
