Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Intern to join our technology team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of IT operations, including system administration, network management, and technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Operations:

Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
Monitor system logs, performance, and security
Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments

Advanced Technical Tasks:

Assist in managing virtual machines and environments
Support storage system configuration and maintenance
Help implement backup and recovery processes
Assist with firewall rules and access control implementation
Support database performance monitoring and optimization
Participate in cloud migration and integration projects
Learn and assist with IT automation and scripting
Support web application development initiatives
Help manage mobile device security and configuration
Assist in maintaining IT compliance standards

Administrative Duties:

Document IT processes, procedures, and maintain knowledge base
Maintain inventory of IT assets and supplies
Provide technical support to employees
Assist in training users on new technologies
Participate in IT meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions

Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Technical Knowledge:

Basic understanding of computer hardware and software systems
Must be knowledgeable in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java Script, etc.)
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
Basic networking knowledge
Understanding of basic security principles
Familiarity with common office applications

Personal Qualities:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Professional attitude and reliable work ethic

Preferred Skills:

Experience with virtualization platforms
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Knowledge of IT security best practices
Experience with help desk or customer service

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
