Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payable Accountant to manage and oversee accounts payable functions.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, as well as negotiating with vendors to achieve favorable terms.
- Review and process invoices for payment in a timely manner.
- Manage relationships with vendors, including negotiating payment terms and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, including managing electronic and manual payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and statements.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable status and issues for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Minimum of HND / BSc in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Payable Accountant.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
