NYSC Intern – Project Management Office (PMO)
Lekki 1, Lagos, Nigeria
Salary Range: NGN150,000 net payment
Reports to: PMO Lead/Project Manager
Full-Time (1 Year program)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NYSC Intern to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in the NYSC program to gain hands-on experience in project management and support the execution of key projects across the business. As part of the PMO team, you will assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, while learning the fundamentals of project management in a dynamic start-up environment.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones across various departments. Ensure that tasks are completed on time and align with project objectives.
2. Help create, maintain, and organize project-related documents, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk assessments.
3. Support the collection of project data and assist in preparing reports and dashboards to track project progress and performance.
4. Assist in scheduling and preparing for project meetings, including setting agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items.
5. Facilitate clear communication across project teams by providing updates and reminders of upcoming deadlines and meetings.
6. Assist in identifying potential project risks and propose solutions to mitigate them, ensuring project goals are not compromised.
7. Provide administrative support to the PMO team, including scheduling, organizing, and coordinating team activities.
8. Participate in training sessions and workshops to gain knowledge of project management tools and methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall approaches.
9. Support the PMO team with any additional tasks or projects as required.
Requirement
· Recent graduate currently enrolled in the NYSC program with a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and G-Suite.
· Basic understanding of project management principles.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines.
· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
· Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Bonus: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Jira) is a plus but not required.
