Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and professional driver with extensive knowledge of Abuja roads and routes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and efficient transportation services for staff, executives, and/or clients
- Plan optimal routes considering traffic patterns and road conditions in Abuja
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine checks, and ensure regular maintenance
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
- Assist with loading and unloading of items when required
- Run official errands and handle document deliveries when needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business and conversations
- Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Report any accidents, damages, or mechanical issues promptly
- Coordinate with the administrative team for scheduling and route planning
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (minimum of 5 years)
- Minimum of 3 years professional driving experience in Abuja
- Extensive knowledge of Abuja road networks and alternative routes
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)
- Defensive driving certification is an advantage
- First aid certification is a plus
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to use GPS and navigation applications
- Basic smartphone literacy for communication and navigation
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Thorough knowledge of Abuja's:
- Major roads and highways
- Alternative routes and shortcuts
- Business districts and residential areas
- Government offices and establishments
- Hospitals and emergency facilities
- Peak traffic hours and patterns
- Punctual and reliable
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient and calm under pressure
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to safety details
- Flexible with working hours
- Physically fit for the role
- Must be available for day or night shift
- May require weekend work when needed
- Flexible to adjust schedule based on company needs
Pay: ₦75,000.00 per month
