Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in the flexible packaging sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the packaging industry, with a proven track record of developing new business opportunities and managing client relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
° Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company revenue goals and expand market share in the flexible packaging industry.
° Identify and target new business opportunities, including potential clients, market segments, and regions.
° Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
° Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and oversee contract negotiations and renewals.
° Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
° Use insights to identify opportunities for growth and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
° Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress toward targets and identify areas for improvement.
° Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
° Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and product offerings.
° Identify and pursue new leads through various channels, including industry events, networking, and referrals.
° Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
° Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable contracts and agreements.
° Close sales and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
° Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other professional certificates will be an added advantage.
° Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and business development within the flexible packaging industry.
° A young, energetic, goal-getter, and target-oriented person
° Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
° In-depth understanding of the flexible packaging market, including trends, technologies, and key players.
° Familiarity with packaging materials, processes, and applications.
° Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with high-level decision-makers.
° Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
° Ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and financial metrics to make informed decisions and strategies.
° Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
° Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
° Results-driven with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
° Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
° High level of integrity and professionalism.
° Prompt Payments tracking as per the agreed schedule.
° Skilled in the reconciliation of accounts to maintain accuracy and financial transparency.
° Ensure a rock-solid credit control system.
