Sales Lead (Fashion and Beauty)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchant Acquisition and Onboarding:
● Identify and acquire high-potential merchants within the fashion, hair, beauty and cosmetics verticals across Lagos and other parts of Nigeria.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants, ensuring their satisfaction with the company’s services and fostering long-term partnerships.
● Manage a portfolio of merchants who sell 100-200 orders per day, ensuring their needs are met and working to increase their order volumes through the company.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
● Develop and implement a sales strategy specifically for the fashion and beauty verticals, targeting both small-scale and larger merchants.
● Identify opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in these verticals by leveraging market trends and tailoring solutions to meet merchant needs.
● Work closely with the Head of Sales to align sales targets with broader company objectives.
Lead Generation and Outreach:
● Generate leads by attending industry events, participating in fashion and beauty expos and leveraging digital marketing strategies to reach merchants outside Lagos.
● Create and execute outreach campaigns that attract merchants in the fashion and beauty verticals, using social media, email marketing and direct engagement.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
● Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about the latest trends in fashion, beauty and cosmetics industries and use insights to drive merchant acquisition efforts.
● Monitor competitor activities in the logistics space and propose strategic actions to maintain the company’s competitive advantage.
Training and Onboarding Merchants:
● Ensure that merchants are properly onboarded onto the company’s platform, providing training on platform usage, delivery processes and maximizing order efficiency.
● Act as a point of contact for merchants, resolving issues and ensuring they are fully supported in scaling their business on the platform.
Sales Reporting and Performance Tracking:
● Provide regular reports on merchant acquisition, order volumes and sales performance within the fashion and beauty verticals.
● Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for improving sales performance and customer engagement.
National Expansion and Scaling:
● While based in Lagos, the Sales Lead will identify and attract merchants from other key cities in Nigeria (such as Abuja, Port Harcourt, etc.) to onboard them onto the company’s platform.
● Develop a plan for expanding the company’s services across Nigeria’s major fashion and beauty markets, ensuring regional growth in merchant acquisition.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion Management or a related field.
● 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in fashion, beauty or related industries.
● Deep knowledge of the fashion, hair, beauty and cosmetics industries in Nigeria.
● Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
● Experience in market research, lead generation and strategic sales planning.
● Experience working with merchants who handle significant order volumes (100-200 orders per month) will be an added advantage.
● Ability to travel within Nigeria for merchant acquisition and business development activities.
● Proficiency in digital marketing, social media outreach and sales tools (CRM software, etc.).
