LOCATION: Nasarawa, Nigeria
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation: Contributing to the structuring of internal processes and the recruitment of farmers

• Design and implement training programs based on key accounts and farmers’ needs
• Contribute to enhance the existing value proposition for farmers, agribusinesses and stakeholders

Recruitment: Prospecting key accounts agribusinesses and medium-scale organizations & farmers

• Prospect key accounts and medium-scale organizations, farmers in the targeted zone
• Conduct on-site visits to pitch the value proposition
• Coordinate with legal specialist during the contractual phase

On-boarding: Integrating key accounts from the contract to the launch

• Prepare the on-boarding process for key account organizations (materials, communication elements, practices, etc.)
• Welcome key accounts and provide all necessary information during training programs (organizing practice demonstrations, etc.)
• Supervise data collection from key account organizations (field mapping, practices, etc.)
• Support the implementation of practices before and during the planting season

Post-launch: Providing continuous support to key accounts

• Assist key accounts by offering solutions and technical advice as needed during weekly or biweekly contacts
• Increase carbon credit production with key account organizations by developing practice change plans and prescriptions, and supporting the implementation of additional practice changes if necessary

Management: Supporting and managing local team

• Support local team and provide solutions to challenges (technical, issues faced in the field with farmers, etc.)
• Ensure implementation of the project objectives and results expected in the targeted zone

Certification: Contributing to ensure certification standards

• Manage audit processes with audit specialists
• Coordinate with certified laboratories (data collection, soil analysis, recommendations, etc.)
• Report to Lead Agronomist

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Agronomist degree with a focus on Agriculture
• 6+ years in Agribusiness with 3+ years’ experience in implementation of regenerative practices
• Proven experience in successfully converting farmers to regenerative agricultural practices and in management
• In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian agricultural landscape, main crops and regenerative practices applied

Pay: ₦800,000.00 per month
