SENIOR GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ADVISORY SERVICES (NATIONAL ASSEMBLY & MDAs) – ABUJA

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Interface with the National Assembly, coordinating engagements with relevant Senate and House Committees and legislators.
- Manage relationships with key ministries, departments, and agencies, facilitating strategic, tactical, and operational engagements to ensure smooth company operations.
- Monitor legislative activities, provide intelligence/reports on relevant developments that may impact the Company, and suggest necessary inputs and actions that may taken by the Company.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of key government officials and develop professional relationships to ensure ease of access when required.
- Coordinate appointments and provide unhindered access to relevant government bodies for the Company's management.
- Provide regular analytical reports on government activities and potential impacts on the Company, offering strategic advice on engagement approaches.
- Support cross-functional government relations efforts such as preparation, submission, and follow-up of applications /requests/reports to various MDAs and serve as a liaison between the Company and various government entities.
- Deep knowledge of Nigerian oil & gas sector and government structures
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Skilled in policy analysis and strategic advisory
- Adept at navigating complex political landscapes.
- Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
- Strong advocacy skills within the Nigerian political space
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience, with a minimum of 3 years spent in a stakeholder management or public relations function in a reputable organization, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage: Certification/membership of relevant Communications/Public Relations professional bodies such as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)
- A university degree preferably in Social Sciences, Law, Management Science or comparable disciplines
