Your New Role
We are looking for an Electrical / Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Kristiansand, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling, researching, developing, and testing systems applications software for Survitec engineered products. You will also support and maintain document control systems and processes to ensure the smooth operation of our engineering projects.

Your New Role
We are looking for an Electrical / Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Kristiansand, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling, researching, developing, and testing systems applications software for Survitec engineered products. You will also support and maintain document control systems and processes to ensure the smooth operation of our engineering projects.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Contribute to the development of existing and new applications by identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Perform tests on applications software and respond to engineering and user queries to diagnose and correct performance issues.
- Identify and correct software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
- Maintain a roadmap of planned application software developments and prioritize them in line with Survitec business requirements.
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation to a high standard.
- Explore and develop an understanding of external developments and emerging issues that may impact or enhance the Survitec product portfolio.
- Identify instances of non-compliance with Survitec policies, procedures, and regulatory codes, and report and escalate issues as needed.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and appreciated.
- Develop your own capabilities through training and education, staying informed about technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
Essential Criteria:
- Educated to a university degree.
- 6-12 months of general experience in a design engineering office or IT systems application team.
- Strong accountability and commitment to meeting commitments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives.
- Problem-solving skills in complex situations.
- Adaptability to adopt innovations in digital and technology applications.
- Decision-making skills to keep Survitec moving forward.
- Effective communication skills for different audiences.
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex information.
- Proficiency in creating new and better ways for success.
- Ability to consistently achieve targets and work towards continuous improvement.
