Launched in 2017, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) is an international coalition of governments, academic, philanthropic, private, public, and intergovernmental institutions whose vision is to create a world in which epidemics and pandemics are no longer a threat to humanity. Our mission is to accelerate the development of vaccines and other biologic countermeasures against epidemic and pandemic threats so they can be accessible to all people in need. CEPI has overseen a number of scientific “firsts”, including the first-ever Chikungunya vaccine to receive approval, the advancement of the first-ever Nipah virus vaccines into Phase 1 trials, and a MERS and Lassa vaccine into first-ever Phase 2 trials. CEPI has also supported the development of four COVID-19 vaccines, which have received WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL), and co-lead COVAX, the global initiative to support equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines
CEPI’s five-year plan for 2022-2026 – known as CEPI 2.0 - aims to dramatically reduce or even eliminate the future risk of pandemics and epidemics. Central to the plan is CEPI’s goal to accelerate the time taken to develop safe, effective, globally accessible vaccines against new threats to just 100 days. Achieving this ‘100 Days Mission’, which has been embraced by leaders of the G7 and G20, would give the world a fighting chance of containing a future outbreak before it can spread to become a global pandemic, potentially averting millions of deaths and trillions of dollars in economic damage.

CEPI is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The position can be filled either in Oslo, Norway or London, UK and reports to Head of FP&A.
We are looking for candidates that are motivated by CEPI’s mission. You should have a Masters’ degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar and minimum 3 years’ experience with FP&A, controlling, financial audit or similar.

Purpose of role
To ensure proper control of financial data and provide insightful reports and analysis that can be used for decision making.

• Budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Data maintenance and data quality
• Development of financial dashboards and systems used for financial reporting
• Contribute to improving processes related to financial planning and controls
• Develop and build effective and fit-for-purpose reporting tools
• Monthly closing of accounts
• Participate in preparing the Annual accounts, the Board of Directors report and CEPI’s Annual progress report
• Financial reporting to the CEPI Leadership team, the CEPI Board, Investors and other external stakeholders
• Support and collaborate with other team members on controlling/analysis tasks
• Ad hoc financial reporting requests

CEPI expects the successful candidate to have:

• Minimum MSc in Finance, Business Administration or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience from FP&A, Controlling, Audit work or similar
• Experience with NGOs, R&D institutions or the vaccine industry is an advantage but not a requirement
• Advanced Excel skills and experience in the use of IT systems and Business Intelligence tools (experience with MS tools, Tableau, Salesforce, Vena and Xledger is an advantage)
• An interest in working with IT developments
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence communicating in English
• A structured and analytical mind-set
• Ability to be forward leaning and autonomous as appropriate
• Ability to work as part of an international team in a dynamic environment; one day is never like the next at CEPI!
