About the job As Junior Category Manager you are responsible for developing our consumer, shopper and customer understanding and enabling Danone to sell its brands and products in the optimal way creating value for our customers and consumers. You will be a critical part of the Norwegian Commercial Team.

The role is truly in a multi-functional environment. You will collaborate with many different departments, such as Commercial Development, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy & Insights to ensure category and customer insights are always reflected in projects and processes.
The role is based in our office in Oslo and you will be reporting to the Senior Category Manager for Denmark & Norway.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Analysis of instore, category and shopper data for all channels in Norway to understand market trends and identify growth potential – become the expert and bring your practical knowledge to the teams
• Building and sharing an integrated category and shopper report for two business categories: dairy and plant-based
• Support your manager to lead and implementation category vision projects including shelf-, assortment-, & visual strategies within cross-functional teams
• Be the voice of the market in the innovation process, including business cases and coordination of launch KPIs with KAM teams
• Building sell-in materials for our customers in strong collaboration with the KAM teams

About you In order to be successful, you need to have:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience from similar positions – Category Management, Marketing, Consumer Insights, or Sales, within either an FMCG company or a well-known research consultancy
• Recent University graduate with a degree in Business/Marketing/Finance or similar
• Ability to derive insights from data and utilize it for story telling
• Solid experience from using Microsoft office, particularly Excel and Power Point – Power BI is a bonus
• Previous experience using Nielsen data and preferably also using shopper data, such as Kantar
• Fluent in English and in Norwegian
