The Role
Are you a passionate mechanical engineer looking to make a significant impact? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Engineering & Technical Department!
As a Mechanical Engineer (EMech), you will be at the forefront of our technical support services, collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert technical support to our Client Support, Sales, and Rental teams.
- Contributing to Engineering Projects, Tender Team efforts, and New Product Development initiatives.
- Staying ahead of market and technology trends, and analyzing competitor technologies/products.
- Supporting the Engineering & Innovation Manager and Sales Teams in making informed commercial decisions and developing strategic plans.
- Participate in all activities within the Engineering & Technical Department.
- Contribute to engineering design & development from a “clean page”.
- Actively seek out new products and solutions.
- Work across disciplines such as Hydraulics, Sheet Metal, Piping, Structure, and Mechanical engineering.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Instrumentation, Access techniques & Lifting disciplines.
- Engage in technical tender clarifications and negotiation sessions.
- Join New Product Development (NPD) efforts and develop technical solutions.
- Assess technical requisitions or enquiries for feasibility.
- Evaluate alternative technical implementation models.
- Conduct thorough risk analyses for equipment, including ATEX risk assessments.
- Report on project progress to all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop your own engineering competency & talent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in engineering design and product development
- Proficiency in technical English, both spoken and written; Norwegian is desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong service attitude.
- Creative, organized, and systematic approach.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills.
- Strong technical understanding and curiosity for new technological developments.
