About the role
As part of our growth strategy, we recently started offering OEM/ODM products to the global fire and gas detection market and adjacent market segments. To further embark on this exciting journey Autronica Fire & Security AS is looking for a motivated and pro-active OEM/ODM Business Development Manager to join our Product Management & Marketing organization. In this new role you will have the responsibility to manage our existing OEM/ODM customer base as well as to identify and win new clients. You will work closely with the product managers as well as the R&D and Operations organization. The role provides a unique opportunity to shape our future market footprint and can be based in any of Autronica’s main offices in Norway and Denmark.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead and execute Autronica’s OEM/ODM business expansion strategy.
- Manage and support existing OEM/ODM customers to ensure business potential realization and budget fulfillment.
- Identify and bring on board additional OEM/ODM clients.
- Lead ODM/OEM contract & price negotiations including internal cross functional alignment, implementation and follow up.
- Lead regular business reviews to ensure business growth, contractual fulfillment, and implementation of potential improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized ODM/OEM processes & routines to ensure business efficiency and scalability.
- Support OEM/ODM customer’s sales, service & training events in accordance to contractual obligations.
- Participate in establishing our future potential OEM/ODM organizational unit.
- Actively manage and own a key third party product line purchased by Autronica to ensure continuous improvement towards Autronica’ s third party suppliers.
- Monitor industry/market trends to identify additional future market potential.
- Actively participate in cross functional development/project teams.
- Pro-actively ensure ethical and legal compliance.
Who we’re looking for:
As part of our team, you’ll have the following:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or engineering.
- Solid experience in Product Management or B2B/OEM/ODM sales of technical products to large international customers.
- Extensive experience of commercial contract or framework negotiations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both internally and working with the customer, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
- A good understanding of cultural differences and the ability to manage expectations accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Norwegian is an advantage.
- A pro-active can-do attitude, as well as an action and result oriented approach.
Nice if you also have:
- Knowledge and experience with products and/or segments related to Fire and Security.
- Knowledge and experience with commercial, competition and compliance law.
