We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Procurement function as Procurement Manager in Indirect Materials & Services (IM&S (Indirect Material & Services)), based in Haugesund, Norway.
Your Focus
As Procurement Manager IM&S located at our Haugesund site in Norway, you will become part of the Regional (Europe) Procurement IM&S team and will be responsible for managing sourcing activities in the field of Indirect Materials & Services.
Your focus will be on the sites in Norway for different indirect categories, e.g.; seaweed harvesting related (contractor) services, capex projects, maintenance services etc. Additionally, there are opportunities to develop yourself and deliver procurement services across our other sites in Europe.
How you will contribute

Lead key sourcing initiatives (MRO & CAPEX) and projects using sourcing methodology and tools. Generate project pipeline to ensure having sourcing initiatives in place to capture value and deliver on procurement objectives

Manage harvesting fleet maintenance cost and contract negotiations together with Plant Operations Team

Oversee the relationship of raw materials local distributors and support Raw Material Category Managers to develop key procurement strategies of high spend direct materials into the site

Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, negotiating, and concluding framework agreements

Developing supplier network to ensure continuity of supply and cost competitiveness

Track metrics to reduce expenses, optimize procurement processes, and achieve planned cost reduction targets. This involves analyzing pricing, evaluating supplier proposals, and identifying cost-effective solutions

Contributing to the execution of Procurement strategies by bringing in market intelligence and opportunities to optimize TCO
-
Building and managing internal relationships with Global Procurement, C&A, Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Quality, and external relationships with suppliers/potential supply partners for smooth and efficient execution of purchasing strategies

Implement fundamental project management principles to drive execution for each project and meeting milestones, especially for supplier bids, awards, and contract implementation

Participate in the Extended Leadership Team at the site to contribute and align with the Company goals
You have
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
-
Experience in strategic Procurement (preferably on Indirect/ NPR
-
Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
-
Familiar with industry (e.g., manufacturing, shipping operations, technology) is advantageous
-
Fluency in English and Norwegian language
-
Proactive, analytical mindset with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
-
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Experience in project management/ cross-functional teams
Nice to have
-
Preferred procurement certification like APICS’s CSCP, ISM’s CPSM or equivalent
