Argeo is a company with a mission to transform the ocean surveying and inspection industry by utilizing autonomous surface and underwater robotics solutions. We develop tools, methods, and applications to allow our customers to make data-driven decisions based on the data we collect and process.
We are currently seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team of dedicated and innovative engineers. At Argeo, you will play a leading role in developing the infrastructure for our digital platform Argeo SCOPE and transform the way data is handled in the surveying industry.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a microservices-based architecture, leveraging service mesh technologies to enhance scalability, observability and maintainability.
• Implement and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes for automated deployment, scaling, and operation of application services in a multi-site, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environment.
• Establish and maintain Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Design and develop resilient, fault-tolerant applications to ensure high availability and rapid recovery from failures.
• Implement robust monitoring and logging practices, leveraging tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure visibility into application performance.
Guide the team in making critical technical decisions and ensure alignment with the overall architecture and goals.

Preferred competence and experience:

• Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Electronics, or similar field
• Expertise in Kubernetes, service mesh technologies and microservice based architecture.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform, and with creating CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, strong English communication skills (spoken and written), and the capacity to learn new systems and skills.
