This position demands a meticulous individual with a strong background in building projects and a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Supervision: Directly oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards. Monitor construction progress, resolve any technical issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures throughout the construction process. Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate construction activities effectively. Provide guidance and support to site personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols on the construction site, prioritizing the well-being of all workers and visitors. Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment to optimize construction processes and ensure optimal resource utilization. Provide technical guidance and support to resolve any technical challenges encountered during the project.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily progress reports, site inspections, and correspondence. Compile comprehensive documentation for regulatory compliance and project reporting purposes.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or requests promptly and professionally. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and proactive communication.
- Bachelor's degree OR a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on building projects, preferably with experience in mall construction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Oman, particularly in Salalah.
