Assistant Product Developer Job Description
The Assistant Product Developer will lead the creation of innovative sauces, salad dressings, and cold-pressed juices, with a focus on utilizing the company’s own produce such as mushrooms, kale, microgreens, basil, and other high-end vegetables. This role involves overseeing the entire product development process, from ideation and testing to scaling and commercialization. The candidate will ensure that all value-added products align with the company’s commitment to sustainability, quality, and market innovation. Our products are one of a kind, and we are the first in Pakistan to offer these items
Key Responsibilities:
Develop New Sauces, Salad Dressings, and Cold-Pressed Juices:
· Lead the development of new sauces, salad dressings, and cold-pressed juices using the company’s produce (e.g., mushrooms, kale, microgreens, basil).
· Innovate value-added products by leveraging the company’s fresh ingredients to create market-leading products like kale-based juices, mushroom sauces, and fresh salad dressings.
· Conduct research on food trends, consumer preferences, and juice blends to develop unique products that cater to health-conscious consumers.
· Oversee taste testing, refinement, and iteration of all recipes, ensuring that cold-pressed juices maintain nutritional integrity.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
· Work closely with the farming and production teams to ensure a steady supply of fresh ingredients for sauce, dressing, and juice production.
· Collaborate with marketing on packaging and branding to highlight the freshness, sustainability, and health benefits of the new products.
· Liaise with the sales team to align new product development with consumer demand and market opportunities.
Product Testing and Quality Assurance:
· Conduct comprehensive testing of sauces, dressings, and juices to ensure product safety, taste consistency, and optimal shelf life.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations for all product categories, including the cold-pressed juice line.
· Monitor production trials to ensure scalability and consistent quality of products across batches.
Innovation and Improvement:
· Continuously explore new uses of the company’s produce to develop innovative products, such as cold-pressed juice blends featuring leafy greens, mushrooms, and herbs.
· Stay informed on health and wellness trends, particularly in the juice and plant-based food categories, to create new product offerings.
· Experiment with different ingredient combinations and production methods to optimize flavor, nutrition, and appeal for the sauces, dressings, and juices.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Document product formulations, testing outcomes, and consumer feedback to continuously refine recipes.
· Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management on new sauce, dressing, and juice developments.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.
Experience:
· 2-3 years of experience in food product development
Skills:
· Expertise in food science, ingredient sourcing, and product formulation, with a strong focus on juices and sauces.
· Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple product timelines.
· Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for developing health-conscious and sustainable products.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
· Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs85,000.00 per month
