Your Role:
Commercial Drivers at Coastal Waste & Recycling are the backbone of our operations. As a Roll Off (ROF) waste collection driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

• Operate a roll off truck along assigned routes to customers and disposal sites
• Deliver, transport and/or unload container with materials at designated locations/dump site
• Return container to original location
• Operate electronic devices to log/report information
• Communicate with dispatch personnel
• Report delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
• Reporting all container related issues and needs to dispatch and management
• Keep truck and associated equipment, clean, safe and in good working order
• Perform truck inspections pre and post trip
• Safely collect commercial waste/recyclable materials from designated locations
• Safely operate all vehicle controls for lifting and loading
• Safely operate compacters to dispose of material
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the waste management industry
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to operate and maintain waste collection vehicles and equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment
• Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
• Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a time
• Able to sit in trailer cab for extended periods of time

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
