Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee crews on underground utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of underground utility construction sites/projects as well as construction management principles. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for managing pipe crews and laborers, operating heavy equipment, ensuring quality control, coordinating schedules and timesheets with project Superintendents and guiding your team to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of construction workers to ensure timely project completion within the underground utility construction scope.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
• Review schematics and plans to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
• Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
• Train and mentor crew members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
• Operate heavy equipment on project sites
• Communicate effectively with Superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.

Skills

• Strong background in underground utility construction projects with proven prior experience in leading teams.
• Minimum two plus years of heavy equipment operator experience to specifically include excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, rollers
• Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for quality control processes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
