Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport materials to and from construction sites. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and maintaining a high level of safety on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials, such as dirt, gravel, or other construction materials, to and from job sites
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment, such as forklifts or loaders
- Ensure that the load is properly secured and balanced for safe transportation
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the dump truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the dump truck
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate transportation needs
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class A or B)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a dump truck driver
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and loaders
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
