Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stevedore to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of cargo from ships, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and effectively. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Stevedore will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center.
Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading cargo from vessels.
• Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks to ensure timely movement of goods.
• Collaborate with team members to build and organize cargo loads efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
• Assist in the overall operations of the distribution center, ensuring smooth logistics flow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in stevedoring is preferred.
• Strong skills in heavy equipment operation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• stevedoring/rigging: 1 year (Preferred)
