Structural Field Engineer (Threshold Inspector)

NOVA Engineering has an opening for a locally based Threshold Inspector (Field Engineer) for our Panama City Beach, FL office. This will be a great opportunity to stop traveling and work in the local area.
Responsibilities:

The Special (Threshold) Inspector Authorized Representative will perform structural steel reviews, including bolted and welded connections, CMU, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, post tension cable, precast/prestress members, wood structures and cold-formed metals.
Ability to read/understand project plans and specifications.
Report data in a complete, timely and understandable fashion.
Ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle.
Lawfully operate a motor vehicle. Maintain company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep).
Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required. Cellular phones are to be worn at all times and calls are to be returned immediately.
Ensure that project requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements and company policies or procedures. Attend all technician meetings.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years experience with structural building inspections
ICC Special Inspector certification in three or more of the following disciplines: Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Soils

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with concrete, including ICC, PTI and ACI certifications a huge plus
PE license
Master of Special Inspection (MSI)
