Deutsche Knowledge Services (DKS) operates as a shared service center for Finance, Global Business Services and IT. A wholly owned subsidiary* of the Deutsche Bank Group, operating out of the Philippines, DKS provides accounting, reporting, profit and loss, cost, reconciliation, MIS, risk control, information technology and operations services (including confirmations and settlements) to internal businesses worldwide.
The Accounting Close team ensures all transactions are correctly accounted for and provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. You will be primarily responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all financial and/or regulatory reports including financial statements, additional disclosure and statistical requirements, inter-unit clearing and other reports in accordance with IFRS and HGB for submission and consolidation to Head Office in Germany; as well as in accordance with applicable GAAP for local regulatory reporting requirements of respective location of the assigned Branch and/or Structured/Non-Structured entities. Your key responsibilities

• Perform and review finance and accounting process but not limited to cost calculations, cost bookings, analytical review, reconciliation, MRP substantiation, financial commentary and reporting process in adherence to Global Accounting policy.
• Perform review of month end functions such as review of late adjustment entries with proper root cause analysis performed on operational issues.
• Handle direct cost related queries and recommend resolution of issues.
• Engage in change initiatives that may include but are not limited to brainstorming exercises, process improvement discussions, user acceptability testing and post deployment reviews.
• Partner with peers to ensure all deadlines are met within acceptable timelines.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or its Business-related equivalents with accounting courses
• Being a CPA holder is an advantage
• Combined analytical and problem solving skills.
• A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently.
• MS Office skills: - MS-Power Point, MS-Access, MS-Excel & thorough knowledge of lookups & pivot tables required.
• Communication & strong interpersonal skills
  
  • The individual should be experienced in dealing with diverse range of stakeholders up to and including senior management
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral & written) & strong interpersonal skills
