Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Oversees the accounting department functions for CCEI, Lake and Events Management with focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statement and reporting. Should be able to drive the team’s performance and allocate tasks evenly across the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the company’s financial activities to ensure that all transactions are accounted for in accordance with company’s policies
- Supervises Accounting Staff (Manila and Pampanga office)
- Acts as internal auditor and financial analyst
- Set up accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Monitors the accounting and financial controls to ensure the prudent safeguarding the company’s assets
- Develops and implements cost cutting measures
- Reviews and approves the following:
  • Check/ Vouchers
  • Journal Voucher
  • Cash Advances Liquidation Statement
  • Checks and verifies accuracy of accounts receivables and accounts payable ageing
- Monitors timely reporting and filing of accurate reports and other requirements of BIR (SSS, PHILHEALTH, HDMF -coordinated with HR & payroll master) and other financial institutions
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate and appropriate financial records (coordinated with external auditors) in accordance with:
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP)
  • Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PRFS)
- Responsible for the preparation of the following:
  • Financial Statements (For Management – for BIR, SEC, banks through External Auditors)
  • Statement of Financial Position
  • Statement of Financial Performance
  • Statement of Cash Flow
  • Statement of Changes in Equity
  • Annual company Budget
- Ensures that cost of site/ project development and housing units are properly and accurately accounted for
- Discuss and agree with Marketing Department the following for proper accounting/recording of costs/ expected sales:
  • Pricing of all inventories for sale
  • Sales Promotion
  • Sales Discounts
  • Commission
- Advises Management planning, action and control with reference to the approved annual budget and conducts appropriate analysis thereof
- Advises management on various important financial matters through timely and accurate financial reports and analysis
- Does monthly reporting to the Board of Directors and Stockholders
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by your immediate superior.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Accountancy (Preferably CPA)
  • At least 5 years experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager in the industry (Preferably with experience in Construction or Real Estate Industry)
  • Confident and can work with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and effective time management
  • Amenable to work in Quezon City in an office based set-up
  • Proficient in MS office suites and Google Docs
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Willing to travel every now and then to Pampanga
  • Amenable to work in Quezon City in an office based setting
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From Php50,000.00 per month
