Job Overview & Your working environment
Within Finance Business Advice (FBA) we are looking for a financial expert to strengthen our team. The team is perfectly situated to financially navigate the business through a rapidly changing banking and geopolitical environment. Within the Finance Business Advice (FBA) department, FBA Data Services team is a pro-active partner empowering the business with valuable and reconciled Management Information concerning P&L and Balance Sheet at overall bank or product and client segment level.
As a Finance Business Advise Expert, you are expected to interact with your Financial Accounting and Financial Control colleagues by providing them accurate and correct Management Information figures during the monthly closing processes and the Forecast and Dynamic plan scenario’s as well.
Your figures are used to roll out our FBA advice role and to improve the insights on P&L and Balance Sheet.
Key Responsibilities
You deliver a robust and reliable set of financial data, figures and reports, focused on the allocation of P&L and Balance Sheet over products and client segments within the bank.
You make sure that your Management Information reports are fully aligned with the Financial Accounting figures, are answering on the business needs and are in lign with the ING Group Policy Guidelines.
Controls, checks and deep dive analysis on the data quality of your figures are in your DNA.
You are eager to look for possible efficiencies in our processes and to improve them.
Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

As an Expert FBA Data Services you will also need:
  • A master degree in Finance or equivalent (e.g. Economics)
  • Basic knowledge of banking balance sheet and banking products
  • Strong attitude in working with data and data controls by using tools such as Excel (advanced Pivot and Lookup skills) with any one between SAS (Basic programming), Power BI, Tableau or Python
  • Versatile in analysing trends and in finding anomalies and incorporate Business requests as automated process wherever possible using the best method/tools available.
  • Engage proactively with various stakeholders to communicate on the potential changes foreseen and also to educate complicated process and procedures in a simpler and easily understandable manner.
  • Think critically to challenge the current method of work and bring about necessary improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills. An eye for detail but without losing the bigger picture
  • Well-developed cooperation and communication skills to be able to act as a linking pin and smoothly interact with all departments and colleagues involved.
  • Self-starter and result-oriented, critical and a team player: you enjoy contributing to larger topics in collaboration with colleagues in and outside the team, challenging your colleagues to bring the results to a higher level
Example of detailed tasks:
Full responsibility of micro reporting, including monitor on input data, validation of the output, support for controllers and Group questions.
Value Report (for WB and BB segments)
MA Base (For PI and BB segments), including validation of segmentation keys for income allocation
