Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing customer payments, and maintaining financial records.
Your Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process and verify incoming invoices and expense reports.
- Ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices before payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Maintain records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send invoices to customers.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.
- Record and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare regular AR aging reports and provide insights on outstanding balances.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and summaries.
- Provide accurate and timely data for financial analysis and decision-making.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving AP/AR processes and efficiency.
- Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and reduce processing times.
- Customer and Vendor Relations:
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing issues and payment inquiries.
- Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
