We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our highly successful, multi-disciplinary building services engineering firm.
We are an Australian owned and operated consultancy business, with an experienced team throughout Australia and the Philippines, with ongoing projects across Commercial, Fit Out, Residential and Industrial around Australia.
The position is offered fulltime (Monday to Friday, 40-hour week), working from home, with a salary open to negation depending on experience.
About you:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Engineering or relevant engineering degree qualification.
• Understanding of NCC, Australian Standards and all other code requirements relative to electrical services
• 4+ years of industry experience within Australia.
• Ability to work both within a team environment and with minimal supervision.
• Be comfortable in a client-facing role – dealing with clients in a professional and confident manner.
• Firm understanding of Australian Building Techniques, Codes, and Standards
• Extremely proficient in English – written and verbal.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects within Australia.
• Ability to liaise with clients and other members of the design team with clarity and confidence
• Ability to manage a high workload with multiple deadlines, while working without supervision.
• Proficient in CAD – Revit BIM knowledge is advantageous
• Open for travel to Australia for additional ongoing training.

About the role
Some of the duties and responsibilities of the role include:

• Preparation of concept designs, detailed designs as well as tender/construction documentation in line with client requirements, project design brief, PPR and any other relevant documentation on new and existing projects.
• Ensure you have a sound understanding of all applicable local authority and government specifications and requirements.
• Deliver high-quality technical design within scope, timeframe and budget.
• Conduct value engineering (VE) exercises on projects. Always design with value in mind.
• Understand our level of engagement under the signed fee proposal and ensure any additional items not included are captured as a variation (where required).
• A good level of communication with the clients, including client management.
• Coordination with other services.
• Coordinate your commitments to meet project deadlines.
• Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors to address construction-related issues.
• Attend project start-up meetings.
• Attend client and coordination meetings as required and report on the status of the work and any items of concern.
• Delegating tasks amongst local and international teams.
• Engaging with clients to discuss contract costs and variations.
