Graphic Design Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY - This position is based in Philippines
The Graphic Design Coordinator plays a key role within Conservation International Asia Pacific's (CIAP) Regional Communications Team, which aims to provide strategic communications support and resources to CIAP. The position reports to the Senior Director of Communications, CIAP, and will support the communications goals of thought leadership, brand awareness and growth, community building, fundraising, and influence for CIAP.
The Graphic Design Coordinator is responsible for graphic design for CIAP, specifically the delivery of key materials for integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives and priority field program needs. The Coordinator will collaborate with key staff in the CIAP offices and CI’s Global Brand and Communications teams, as well as partners, and other stakeholders to ensure the proper use of CI brand assets towards brand alignment, appropriate and accurate messaging in all content.
They will on occasion support broader marketing and communications efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaigns & Projects
- Provide graphic design leadership for CIAP integrated media campaigns or projects under the direction of the Senior Director, working with country teams on the creative ideation, production of assets, and distribution of materials.
- Coordinate the timely delivery and external sharing of communications project deliverables with relevant channel managers and team leads.
- Serve as liaison, in collaboration with the Senior Director, between field programs and CI Global B+C, agencies, and partners with the marketing team on design efforts.
- Support the CIAP Communications team in integrated communications efforts.
- Manage digital design efforts such as Mail Chimp newsletters, CIAP webpages, and blogs.
- Ideation, creation, and execution of graphic design materials for various uses ranging from digital (social media) assets to hard copy (posters, flyers, impact reports) in collaboration with the Senior Director.
- Design and format priority external communication products that support CIAP and Country Program strategic goals such as factsheets and presentations.
- Visual Asset Manager for CIAP – manage the upload of photos to CI photo management system, and provide support to field offices for the use of Vault (training provided).
- Ensure Alignment with Standards: Ensure all communications adhere to CI’s processes and branding guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality across all materials.
- Oversee Consultants and Volunteers: Occasionally manage consultants, contractors, vendors, interns, and skilled volunteers to implement strategic communications efforts for regional projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Typical office environment. Ability to work extended hours or travel as needed. Guidance on flexible work arrangements will be shared during the interview process.

Required
- 2 to 4 years of previous work experience in Graphic Design, preferably with project management responsibilities.
- Experience in the use of photographic, audio/visual equipment to produce short videos.
- Experience in design. Ideally with working knowledge of Adobe In Design and other creative programs.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to think creatively and innovatively and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to function well in a multicultural, diverse, and fast-paced work team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging communications materials.
- Strong computer skills – MAC, PC, Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Design, Marketing, Communication or a related field.
- Proven social media, video and digital marketing expertise.
- A passion for nature, sustainability and/or environmental conservation.
- Desire and willingness to stay on top of emerging trends in digital marketing.
- Expertise in digital communication, particularly written, verbal and video creation and editing skills.
