We are seeking a creative individual to work flexibly and collaboratively with our technical and shared services staff in preparing presentations and graphics to communicate concepts and processes throughout our business.

The success of our work is often dependent on our ability to visually communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, including government decision-makers; other practitioners; and community stakeholders.

Examples of previous work products include presentations, print collateral, infographics, thematic maps, wayfinding concepts and installations, and animations.

• Contribute to and manage the design and production of presentations and reports.
• Design and create thematic maps, charts, and diagrams.
• Produce public communication materials including brochures and newsletters.
• Develop infographics to communicate transportation and planning concepts.
• Contribute to growing multimedia work; experience and interest in web design, video editing, or motion graphics is a plus.
• Contribute creatively to design and idea generation.
• Understand the elements of graphic design and employ its principles.
• Be able to both collaborate with a team and work autonomously.
• Enjoy identifying and proposing the best way to communicate a given concept.
• Take initiative in learning new techniques, skills, and software.
• Have an interest in transportation and urban planning.

• 1 to 5 years of graphic design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in art, design, communication, or related field.
• Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of Adobe In Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, Power Point).
• Familiarity with web design (HTML, CSS, Java) is a plus.
• Familiarity with video editing platforms, including Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
