HSSEQ Advisor

The HSEQ Advisor is responsible for supporting the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality function within the organization. This role aims to ensure compliance with relevant external regulations, internal company requirements, maintain HSEQ documentation, and assist in the implementation of HSEQ initiatives to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.
- Prepare and distribute HSEQ reports and communications (routine and ad-hoc).
- Act as a point of contact for HSEQ-related queries.
- Maintain and update HSEQ records and documentation.
- Ensure all HSEQ documents are easily accessible and properly filed.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external HSEQ audits and assurance programs.
- Monitor compliance with HSEQ regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development of HSEQ training materials.
- Coordinate with wider HSEQ team and assist in maintain training records.
- Record, report and review quality of data entry of HSEQ incidents and hazard observations.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and implementation of corrective actions.
- Support HSEQ continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in HSEQ meetings and contribute to the development of HSEQ strategies.
Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Previous experience in an HSEQ role or similar administrative position.
Onsite / field experience would be desirable but not essential.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of HSEQ regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with HSEQ management systems and best practices.
- Understanding and maintenance of document control systems.
- Establishing and maintenance of assurance and audit programs.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports (routine and ad-hoc).
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly: Share Point, Excel, Power Bi, Forms.
- Familiar with contractor management software (i.e. ISNetworld), desirable.
- Familiar with establishing and maintaining legal compliance registers.
- Coordinating and developing HSEQ training and awareness programs.
- Management of Learning Management Systems.
- Experience in incident reporting and investigation.
- Attention to detail.
- Efficient time management.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
