Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

• Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to identify mechanical problems and safety issues.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical expertise.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
• Weld, fabricate, or machine parts as needed to complete repairs

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
• Follow manufacturer's maintenance guidelines and service intervals for each type of equipment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including service reports, inspection logs, and parts inventory.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

• Analyze symptoms reported by equipment operators and use diagnostic techniques to pinpoint the root cause of mechanical issues.
• Develop effective repair strategies and implement solutions to resolve problems efficiently.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning and safe operation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in heavy equipment mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a construction, mining, or similar industrial setting.
• Willing to travel
