DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accepts, prepares and dispenses prescription medications to walk-in customers.
2. Dispenses medicines and medical supplies requested by nurse stations.
3. Purchases and dispenses dangerous drugs to patients with doctor’s prescriptions.
4. Provides consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
5. Assists the chief pharmacist for proper record keeping of all prescription transactions.
6. Prepares sterile solutions following proper procedures.
7. Monitors and records daily temperatures in the pharmacy and refrigerator.
8. Maintains appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical, medical, operating room and dialysis supplies.
9. Monitors proper disposal of empty/used vials based on DOH guidelines.
10. Receives reported defective/unsealed/complaint pharmaceutical products and informs drug distributor for appropriate action
11. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations for the pharmacy
12. Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings required by FDA, DOH and PDEA; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
13. Complies with drug laws as regulated by the Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Health Insurance Commission (PHIC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pharmacy Therapeutic Committee (PTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by maintaining records for controlled substances and side effects, toxicities and allergic reactions for drugs.
14. Be able to execute the best Customer Service at all times. (Commonwealth Med Way, WE CARE Service Platform)
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
2. Must have passed the PRC Licensure Exam for Pharmacy
3. Pharmacist with S3 License is an advantage

• 8 hour shift
