Role Overview:
We are seeking an Experienced Python Back-End Developer based in the Philippines to join our remote team. You will play a key role in the development and continuous enhancement of an upcoming product, along with other back-end projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented developer who is proactive, creative, and passionate about building robust, scalable solutions.
While you'll be working remotely, this role requires availability during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) and adherence to Australian public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable back-end solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Lead the development and enhancement of one of our new e SIM products, including virtual warehouses, exposing APIs, and integrating with multiple vendors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, UX/UI, product) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and ensuring high-performance.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize the system for better performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
• Communicate effectively and work closely with team members to ensure project goals are met on time.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in back-end development and contribute creative solutions to improve E.Tel’s products and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on Python (Django, Flask, or Fast API frameworks).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party API integrations.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and proficiency in designing scalable database schemas.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and creative approach to finding solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work remotely but on Australian time zones (AEST/AEDT).
